noun--an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity.
verb--engage in hazardous and exciting activity, especially the exploration of unknown territory.
I’m a big fan of adventure. There is nothing as exhilarating as “an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity” with close friends. Whether it’s exploring an abandoned military base, or surviving a vicious sea lion attack, there is something about a real adventure that bonds us together.
It’s interesting to me as well, that adventure in noun form is basically a description of life in general. We never know what’s around the corner, we encounter various and tragic hazards along the way, and there is no shortage of the unusual. All this happens in life whether we want it or not—whether we like it or not. Adventure in verb form, however, is about engaging in the adventure. We seek out the unusual and explore the unknown. Whatever this life holds, we as God’s people are called to adventure. We are the ones who know how the story ends and therefore have the freedom to engage in the adventure.
What a great honor it is to live the adventure with my CTK family!
