Happy New Year! We cannot express how excited we are in the Children’s Department to continue to be a part of your children’s walk with Christ. There is a deep sense of love and commitment from our teachers and coordinators to continue to bring God’s best to each child.
As we look ahead and continue to grow as a church and spiritually together as a family of believers there will be inventible changes that will come. The children’s department is no exception. One of the first changes you will notice by next weekend is “ID sticker tags.” These tags will take you only a few minutes to fill out each week and will be stuck to back of your child. There will be a line for your child’s name, your phone number and a section to leave any notes you would like the teacher to be aware of (i.e., allergies, food restrictions, pickup arrangements, etc). We are asking for your phone number on these “tags” so that our teachers would be able to text you out of service should your child need you. Please remember to keep your phone on silent and the screen facing up so you can silently be alerted if your child’s teacher needs to communicate with you.
This paper/pen sticky note system is really helping us set up and prepare for the electronic “tag” system that we will implement we have transitioned to our new location. The electronic system will serve our growing congregation and children’s department with some really exciting features that will streamline check-in and help you (the parent) communicate more effectively with our rotating staffing system.
Also, you might notice that there will be some curriculum changes coming up this Spring. We look forward to these changes and would be happy to discuss any concerns or questions you might have.
Many Blessings from the CTK Children’s Department.
